Dr. Elizabeth McAneny, DPT

Elizabeth is a graduate of Columbia University where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Elizabeth grew up dancing and was first introduced to physical therapy as a patient when she was injured dancing during her first year of college. Elizabeth attended Barnard College of Columbia University for her undergraduate studies and studied both biology and dance. She worked as a clinical research coordinator before going to physical therapy school and has contributed to physical therapy research at the Neurorehabilition Lab and as a member of the Dance Research Team, both at Columbia University.
While in physical therapy school, Elizabeth took elective coursework in performing arts rehabilitation, foot and ankle rehabilitation, pelvic health, and sports rehabilitation along with completing continuing education through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She completed clinical rotations in both outpatient orthopedics and sports settings. Elizabeth has experience as a personal trainer and group fitness coach at a functional fitness gym and brings her love of functional fitness and weightlifting to her physical therapy practice. Elizabeth is passionate about providing evidenced-based and patient-centered care. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys working out, running in Central Park, trying new restaurants in New York City, and walking her rescue dog.
Elizabeth became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in 2024.
